Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information TeelyShop Labs LLC collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email support@teelylabs.com.
1. Who we are
Teely Labs is the trading name of TeelyShop Labs LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Montana, USA ("Teely Labs", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to teelylabs.com and to the products we operate (together, the "Services"):
- ChessZing (chesszing.com)
- Post2Delete (post2delete.com)
- Upscale4 (upscale4.com)
- Supercrontab (supercrontab.com)
Each product may also publish its own privacy notice with product-specific details. Where a product notice is more specific than this policy, the product notice applies to that product. This policy does not cover third-party websites or services that our products link to or connect with.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details, such as your email address, display name and password (stored only as a secure hash), when you create an account.
- Sign-in with a provider, such as Google or GitHub. We receive your name, email address, profile picture and an account identifier from that provider. We never receive your provider password.
- Billing details when you buy a paid plan. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive the billing name, email, country, the last four digits and brand of your card, and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
- Content you submit to a product, for example the URLs and schedules you configure in Supercrontab, or game data you choose to save in ChessZing.
- Messages you send us by email or support forms.
Information collected automatically
- Technical and log data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page and timestamps. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver pages, prevent abuse and keep the Services secure.
- Usage data, such as features used and approximate country, collected through analytics only where you have allowed it (see section 8).
- Cookies and local storage that keep you signed in and remember your settings.
Information from third parties
When you connect a third-party account to a product (for example, connecting a social network to Post2Delete), that product accesses the data needed to perform the action you requested. Wherever possible this happens directly between your browser and the third-party service, and we do not store your third-party credentials on our servers.
4. Processing on your device
Several of our products are designed so that your data never reaches us. Upscale4 enlarges images inside your browser, so your photos are not uploaded. ChessZing runs its chess engine on your device. Data handled this way stays on your device and is not collected by us.
5. How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain the Services you request.
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and send receipts.
- To send service messages, such as security alerts, job failure notices you set up, and changes to these terms. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To respond to support requests.
- To understand how the Services are used and improve them.
- To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
6. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases: contract (to provide the Services you signed up for), legitimate interests (to secure, maintain and improve the Services, in a way that does not override your rights), consent (for analytics cookies and marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).
7. How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Services, under contracts that limit their use of it, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting, content delivery, databases, security and transactional email |
| Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing, subscriptions and fraud prevention |
| Google LLC | Sign-in with Google, analytics (with consent) and business email |
| GitHub, Inc. | Sign-in with GitHub, where offered |
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against abuse and remember your preferences. These do not require consent.
Some products use Google Analytics to measure aggregate usage. Where required by law, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the product's cookie settings. teelylabs.com itself does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
9. How long we keep information
- Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account, except where we must keep it longer.
- Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 7 years.
- Server logs are kept for a short period, generally no more than 30 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Product data such as job run history follows the retention period shown in each product.
10. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls limited to the people who need them, and the security infrastructure of our providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers' certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
You can delete your account from within most products. For any other request, email support@teelylabs.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
13. Notice for US residents
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
14. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are in the EEA or UK, you must be at least 16, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will notify account holders by email or through the Services before they take effect.
